Summer conference season is here! Whether you’re going to the ESA Meeting, Evolution 2014, or somewhere else, we’ve got you covered with plenty of advice on how to prepare:
One thing that hasn’t come up (that I can see), and that I’m dithering on as a networking tool – “business” cards. Yay or nay? Does it save the awkward fumble for a pen and paper, or does it look a bit slick and insincere?
And while many academic ecologists don’t have business cards, enough do that I don’t think it would look too odd to your fellow academics if you had them. So if you want them, I’d go ahead and get them rather than not doing so out of fear for how it would make you look to others. Just my two cents.
