  1. I appreciate the many good ideas posted on your blog for these needing to reduce boredom during the pandemic, Jeremy. It occurred to me that the idea of “repurposing” materials and industries to address critical shortages could be applied to people of science.

    We already know many (if not all) regions of the United States shall experience critical shortages of medical personnel. Doctors, nurses, technicians, administrators, managers, nurse’s aids, physician assistants and so on shall all be in short supply as the infection spreads. I believe there are a great many people working in science who could, with minimal training and supervision, step in to fill the void of healthcare workers we shall soon encounter.

    Perhaps Dynamic Ecology could initiate a discussion and then develop a potential action along these lines.
