Saturday blast from the past: the intermediate disturbance hypothesis vs. Zeno’s paradox of Achilles and the tortoise

Wow, here’s a real blast from the past: a post I’d totally forgotten about, until I stumbled across it by accident last night! I think it holds up well. But then, I would say that, because this is very much a “me in 2012” post. It’s opinionated. It’s got attention-grabbing rhetoric that some of you will like (or at least not mind), and others of you will dislike. It’s based on a weird analogy. And it uses a random bit of philosophy I happen to know.

YMMV on whether I’m a better or worse blogger now than I was back in 2012. But I was definitely a more…distinctive blogger back then.
